Methodology and conflicts of interest
Who writes
Analyses are published under the responsibility of [name to be completed] (Founder and author of the site, private investor). The author is not a licensed financial analyst and does not provide investment advice.
How analyses are produced
- Gathering. Every trading day, after the close, public information from the last 24 hours is gathered: financial press, company announcements, official publications. For an article looking back at a past period, the fact sheet states the period covered.
- Selection. Companies with concrete news are picked: results, outlook, financial transaction, contract, management change, regulatory decision.
- Writing. Each analysis has two separate parts: “The facts”, which report what the sources say and cite them, and “Our take”, which expresses the author’s view. Information is rewritten; no source is reproduced.
- Artificial intelligence. An artificial intelligence tool helps gather the information and write a first draft. Each article states whether it was reviewed and approved by the author before publication.
The author only uses public information. He does not seek or use inside information.
The rating scale
- Positive: recent developments look rather favourable to the stock over the stated horizon.
- Neutral: favourable and unfavourable factors balance out, or most of it seems priced in.
- Negative: recent developments look rather unfavourable to the stock over the stated horizon.
- No rating: the available information is not enough to form a view.
Each rating comes with a horizon. When a price target is given, its method is explained in the article. A new analysis of a stock already covered states the previous rating and its date. All ratings from the last 12 months appear on the Ratings history page.
Conflicts of interest
- Each analysis states whether the author holds a position in the stock on the publication date.
- The author refrains from any transaction in a stock covered during the 24 hours before and the 48 hours after publication.
- The site receives no payment from the companies it covers. The site publishes no sponsored content; any paid partnership would be clearly disclosed in the content concerned.
- When the author has a professional relationship with a company, he only publishes informative articles about it: no rating, no price target, and the relationship is disclosed at the top and at the end of the article.
Positions declared to date
To date, the author holds no position in any stock covered by the site.
Corrections
